About Yimeng

He is a multidisciplinary designer focused on digital product design and industrial design. He graduated from Parsons with a Master’s degree in Communication Design in 2021 and currently working for Telenav as a UI Designer in Shanghai.

Before attending Parsons, he graduated from NC State University with a master’s degree in industrial design in 2019 and worked as a freelance industrial designer for Skram Furniture. Besides being familiar with design methods and software, he also worked on projects with many organizations such as IKEA, Caterpillar, Parata, etc. 

During his time as an industrial designer, Yimeng realized that his strong interest in digital product design and the close connection between hardware and software made him decide to pursue another degree in communication design. He is passionate about using design practices to solve social problems and environmental problems. He feels responsible to contribute his skills to improve people’s lives and build a better society.
